The Muslim-dominated island of Lamu off the coast of Kenya hummed with life. Mopeds, donkeys with carts, goats, and people squeezed through the narrow alleys. Amidst the hustle and bustle lies Lamu House, a beautiful hotel, and in the heart of the hotel exists this oasis of calm, partly shaded by the tropical vegetation.
